Vinod Bhanushali addresses reports on argument with T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar

The news of Vinod Bhanushali, loyal lieutenant of T-Series boss Bhushan Kumar, resigning after 27 years of service has set the media alight. Many questions were asked including why Bhanushali abruptly resigned and if there was an altercation between him and Kumar. Bhanushali has now addressed these reports.

He told the media that he wants to progress in life, reports Box Office Worldwide. He said, “I want to do a lot more on my professional front than I was doing until now. I have given my sweat to T-Series for 27 years, which is not a joke. The time had come for me to move on”.

Regarding his next steps he added, “Well, I am going to make my own films. I want to be a producer now, not a co-producer. And I want to make commercial masala movies, not art or parallel cinema. I enjoy entertaining films and I shall make just those.”

When asked about the risk he is taking by turning a producer, Bhanushali said, “I am confident that I will earn more money in my journey ahead. By the way, a co-producer gets only credits and no money.”

He also claimed that he and Kumar had no differences when he handed in his resignation. “No rift with Bhushan Kumar,” he said, adding, “Obviously I can’t tell him that I should be a producer on the films he’s producing. It would have been ethically wrong and I didn’t want to do anything unethical. Based on my gut and skill, I would rather helm the film on my own”.
