War film ‘Pippa’ which will star Ishaan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur is reportedly scheduled to go on the floors in September, BizAsiaLive.com has learnt.

The film, which will also star Priyanshu Painyuli, has the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war. A source told Mid-Day, “The film, set against the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war, will require multiple levels of prep. The actors’ reading sessions will begin by mid-August”.

The source went on to add, “They not only have to fully familiarise themselves with the Battle of Garibpur that forms the crux of the story, but also have to physically prep from the first week of August to do justice to the combat and war sequences on camera”.

Raja Krishna Menon will be directing the film and its first schedule will reportedly take place in Mumbai.
