Ajay Devgn to portray India’s first Dalit cricketer Palwankar Baloo in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s biopic?

Ajay Devgn is reportedly set to take on the role of India’s first Dalit cricketer, Palwankar Baloo, in an upcoming biopic directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. The project aims to shed light on the life and legacy of this pioneering figure in Indian cricket.

Priti Sinha, one of the producers, confirmed the collaboration on social media. “We are producing Baloo Palwankar’s story based on @Ram_Guha sir’s book A Corner Of A Foreign Field,” she revealed, underscoring the team’s dedication to bringing this important historical narrative to the screen.

This biographical film is anticipated to highlight not only Baloo’s cricketing achievements but also his significant contributions to social change during a time when caste discrimination was rampant.
