Sooraj Pancholi returns with ‘Kesari Veer’ after acquittal in Jiah Khan’s death case
Sooraj Pancholi is preparing for his much-anticipated return to the silver screen with ‘Kesari Veer’.
Pancholi, who made his Bollywood debut with ‘Hero’ in 2015, has faced significant challenges due to his involvement in a high-profile legal case. Having been acquitted in Jiah Khan’s death case, he opened up about the emotional toll it took on him. “When all fingers point at you, you feel cornered, and I did. But I never allowed myself to spiral into bad habits like substance abuse. Keeping myself active helped heal my mind. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy, but it made me stronger. I don’t discuss it with my family or friends, but at times, it catches up with me, and I feel overwhelmed,” he shared.
Reflecting on his career choices, Pancholi added, “I had done a film, and honestly, I don’t know why I did it. But after that experience, I vowed never to take on a project that made me feel miserable on set. Now, I only want to work on projects that genuinely excite me. I wish I could say, ‘Look at the volume of my work,’ but that time is yet to come.”
In ‘Kesari Veer’, Pancholi takes on the role of Hamirji Gohil, a valiant warrior who defended the Somnath Temple from attack in the 14th century. The historical drama also features Suniel Shetty and Vivek Oberoi, promising a gripping portrayal of bravery and resilience.
