Star Plus to axe ‘Teri Meri Doriyaann’ in July

After weeks of speculation and uncertainty, Star Plus has officially decided to pull the plug on its show ‘Teri Meri Doriyaann’. The popular series, starring Vijayendra Kumeria and Himanshi Parashar, will air its final episode on 14th July 2024, due to a significant decline in viewership ratings.

‘Teri Meri Doriyaann’ has been a staple for many fans, but recent changes to the storyline have not managed to capture the audience’s interest as hoped. The show recently saw the departure of the lead character Sahiba and the introduction of Gurnoor in an attempt to boost ratings. Despite these efforts, the numbers continued to dwindle.

In a bid to add more intrigue to the show’s concluding episodes, Pinkvilla reports that actor Manoj Chandila has been brought in to join the cast as an antagonist. Chandila will portray Zorawar, the ex-husband of Gurnoor, adding an extra layer of drama to the series’ finale.

The decision to end ‘Teri Meri Doriyaann’ comes after several attempts by the makers to revive its fortunes. The introduction of new characters and plot twists, such as killing off Sahiba, was a strategic move to reignite viewer interest, but it appears that these changes were not enough to sustain the show’s ratings.
