Sony TV is gearing up for a significant revamp, with big changes expected to take place in October.
As part of its restructuring efforts, the channel is set to scrap several underperforming shows from its current line-up.
It has been confirmed that three shows—’Kavya – Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon’, ‘Jubilee Talkies’, and ‘Pukaar Dil Se Dil Tak’ – will come to an end in the coming weeks. These shows, which have struggled to capture audience attention, will be phased out by the end of September. This move is part of Sony TV’s broader strategy to refresh its content and boost its ratings, which have been on a decline for several months.
Interestingly, ‘Jubilee Talkies’ and ‘Pukaar Dil Se Dil Tak’ had only recently premiered but failed to make a significant impact in terms of viewership. In addition to these cancellations, it is also reported that the recently launched show ‘Aapka Apna Zakir’ will meet the same fate due to low ratings.
The decision to overhaul the schedule and introduce fresh offerings in October reflects Sony TV’s commitment to regaining its footing in the competitive television market. Viewers can expect a new slate of shows aimed at revitalising the channel’s appeal and improving its performance in the coming months.
