Raksha Bandhan 2021: Our favourite TV brother-sister bonds

Raksha Bandhan is a special festival, which celebrates the protection and love between brothers and sisters. This auspicious tradition solidifies the unconditional faith and support of a sibling bond. This Raksha Bandhan, BizAsiaLive.com is taking a look at the most memorable brother-sister pairings on Indian TV.

‘Ishqbaaaz’
While the highlight of ‘Ishqbaaaz’ was the brotherly bond between Shivaay, Omkara and Rudra, another pair of siblings was equally as heartwarming. Anika and Sahil. Both maintain a balance in their relationship. When one is mischievous, the other is grounded. When one is hurt, the other is brave.

‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon’
Arnav Singh Raizada is an arrogant, no-nonsense businessman for the world. But for her sister Anjali, he is a loving, supportive brother. Anjali in turn has an almost motherly affection towards his brother. Their shared trauma and loss of parents changed bond from just siblings to something more. Among the drama, they find moments of laughter and joy with each other.

‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’
‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ has had strong sibling bonds in each generation. We first had Akshara and Shaurya, then Naira and Naksh and now Kairav and Akshara. Although all these older brother-younger sister relationships have faced their share of conflict and misunderstandings, they always come back stronger. They never lose grip of the love that bonds them together.

‘Kaatelal and Sons’
Twin sisters Garima and Susheela have not only found a younger brother in Puttu, but also a solid partner in crime. He is always there to help them with their plans or get them out of trouble, even it means bending the rules. Although he is much younger than his sisters, he is never afraid to speak up for them when needed. The fun and adventurous chemistry between the three siblings drives the show and keeps the viewers hooked.

‘Pandya Store’
Hardik and Dhara are mature and sorted siblings who care a lot for each other. Hardik is always there for Dhara no matter what kind of predicament she is in, even if it means going against his best friend for his sister. Luckily for Dhara, Hardik isn’t the only one. Her bond with her brothers-in-law Shiva, Dev and Krish is equally as strong and precious.

We wish you all a happy and auspicious Raksha Bandhan.
