‘Kumkum Bhagya’ actor Asha Sharma dies aged 88

Veteran actor Asha Sharma, best known for her role in the popular ZEE TV show ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, passed away on Sunday at the age of 88.

The Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) confirmed the news by sharing an obituary post on their official X handle, expressing their condolences. The post said: “Cintaa expresses its condolences on the demise of Asha Sharma.”

Details regarding the cause of her death, her last rites, and any planned prayer meetings have not been released. Actress Pooja Gor, who worked with Sharma in Pratigya, shared her grief, stating, “She was a wonderful person and a great human being. She would always shower a lot of love and blessings on us. She played the role of my grandmother in the show. After the show, I unfortunately met her only once. May her beautiful soul rest in peace.”
