After days of speculation, it now seems certain that former ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ star, Ayesha Singh has been signed for Sony TV’s ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’.
Though official confirmation is awaited, she did admit that she had been approached and was excited about the show.
Talking to a news portal, she said, “I am in talks for Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. I really hope it works out. I wanted to learn to dance. What better space to learn dancing from the best choreographers and the best of teams?” She further revealed that she was waiting for a confirmation from the maker’s side.
Singh was the lead of the popular Star Plus show, ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein’ that has had a successful run for almost three years. Singh exited the show earlier this year to make way for a twenty-year leap.

Besides Singh, several other television celebrities including Urvashi Dholakia, Shiv Thakare, Sumbul Touqeer Khan and Shivangi Joshi have also been reportedly approached for the upcoming season.
Singh was also offered ‘Chand Jalne Laga’ on Colors, but the talks fell through. She was also offered ‘Bigg Boss 17’.
The celebrity dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ created waves when the current season moved back to Sony TV is a homecoming of sorts, after being with Colors for many years.
