‘Anupamaa’ actor Nitesh Pandey passes away, aged 51

Popular TV and film actor Nitesh Pandey has passed away, aged 51.

Pandey, who was last seen playing Dheeraj in Star Plus’ top show ‘Anupamaa’, suffered a cardiac arrest in Igatpuri, Maharashtra.

Producer JD Majethia, who was close to Pandey, told IndianExpress that he was travelling to work when he passed away. He said, “Nitesh was in Igatpuri and suffered a cardiac arrest. He passed away around 2 am.”

ANI news agency said, “TV actor Nitesh Pandey found dead at a hotel in Igatpuri, Nashik in Maharashtra. Prima facie, the cause of death seems to be a heart attack. A police team present at the hotel and investigation is underway. Postmortem report is awaited. Questioning of hotel staff and people close to him is being done.”
