JioCinema acquires rights for Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’ for Rs. 155 crore

Rajkumar Hirani’s much talked about upcoming project ‘Dunki’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, is already gathering pace ahead of its theatrical release in December 2023.

Rumours are rife that the film’s digital rights have been sold to JioCinema for a staggering Rs. 155 crore. The film is expected to stream online, around three months after its cinema run on 22nd December 2023.

The price paid by the Reliance owned company has set new records in the Indian film industry for a single language film.

JioCinema is expected to be rolled out worldwide after its epic launch in India. The digital app will use ‘Dunki’ and its other large offerings as a part of its marketing plans globally.
