Amazon Prime Video releases statement on ‘Gehraiyaan’ trailer launch cancellation

The trailer of Amazon Prime Video’s ‘Gehraiyaan’, starring Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday, was due to happen in Alibaug next week, ahead of it streaming on the platform on 25th January. However, the launch has been cancelled due to the rise in Covid 19 cases.

“Owing to the current surge in Covid-19 cases, we have decided to take an alternate route for the trailer launch of our upcoming title, Gehraiyaan. We won’t be doing the trailer launch in Alibaug as originally planned. We are, however, looking forward to bringing the trailer to you,” said a statement by Amazon Prime Video.

As mentioned, the film is due to premiere later this month.
