Box Office: ‘Stree 2’ makes huge start in India

Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s much-anticipated ‘Stree 2’ has opened to a massive response at the Indian box office.

According to initial figures from Box Office India, the horror-comedy has already grossed Rs. 18.85 crore in national chains, setting the stage for a potential Rs. 40-42 crore nett haul across India on its opening day.

In contrast, today’s other releases, ‘Vedaa’ and ‘Khel Khel Mein’, are struggling to make an impact, with their box office numbers falling significantly short in comparison. As ‘Stree 2’ continues to dominate, it remains to be seen how these films will fare against its overwhelming success.
