Box Office: Low openings for ‘Heropanti 2’ & ‘Runway 34’

Eid weekend should have brought some extra joy at the box office but the cold response of this week’s two new releases have surprised the industry.

‘Heropanti 2’ starring Tiger Shroff and ‘Runway 34’ starring Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan, have both got off to low numbers, according to Box Office India. It reports that early trading for both films saw ‘Heropanti 2’ ahead of ‘Runway 34’ but the numbers were nowhere near to expectations.

‘Runway 34’ had a very low start at the box office, with numbers being much lower than last week’s ‘Jersey’. The film is a remake of Hollywood hit ‘Flight’.

With the way things stand, both films will be the lowest openers for Tiger Shroff and Ajay Devgn in recent times.
