Varun Dhawan confirmed to star in ‘Border 2’ with Sunny Deol

Varun Dhawan has joined the cast of the Bollywood war epic ‘Border 2’, alongside Sunny Deol.

The film will be directed by Anurag Singh, known for his work on the 2019 hit ‘Kesari’, which starred Akshay Kumar and depicted the heroic Battle of Saragarhi, where 21 Sikh soldiers faced off against 10,000 Afghan fighters in 1897.

‘Border 2’ serves as a sequel to the 1997 blockbuster ‘Border’, directed by J.P. Dutta. The original film, also featuring Deol, was set during the 1971 Indo-Pak war and focused on a small Indian battalion defending the border region of Longewala against a much larger Pakistani force.
