Sunny Deol confirms sequel to JP Dutta’s blockbuster ‘Border’

Sunny Deol has officially confirmed the much-anticipated sequel to JP Dutta’s iconic war drama ‘Border’ (1997). The sequel, titled ‘Border 2,’ is set to become one of India’s biggest war films, produced by T-Series and JP Films. The screenplay is penned by Nidhi Dutta, the daughter of the legendary director JP Dutta.

Announcing the sequel, Sunny Deol, T-Series, and JP Films shared a post on social media, welcoming Deol back to the ‘Border’ franchise. The post read, “Ek fauji apne 27 saal purane waade ko pura karne, aa raha hai phirse. India’s biggest war film, #Border2 / Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta & Nidhi Dutta will be directed by Anurag Singh.”

With Anurag Singh at the helm as director, the sequel is expected to bring a fresh perspective while maintaining the essence of the original film.

The production of ‘Border 2’ is slated to commence in October later this year.
