‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ sequel titled ‘Jaanam Teri Kasam’

The beloved romantic film ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ is getting a sequel, but fans may be surprised to learn that it won’t feature the original leads.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, the upcoming film has been titled ‘Jaanam Teri Kasam’ and will once again be directed by the original director duo, Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru.

A source quoted in the report revealed that the project is still in its early stages. “The makers want to make a sequel to Sanam Teri Kasam. However, it is at a very nascent stage currently. They have only started the casting process of the film, so it is still in pre-production,” the source stated.

The sequel, ‘Jaanam Teri Kasam’, is expected to be a musical, continuing the emotional and melodious legacy of its predecessor. “It will feature a new cast; the makers didn’t want to repeat the actors. The auditions are going on for the main leads currently, and they will look at the supporting cast afterward,” the source added.

The filmmakers are particularly focused on finding the perfect female lead, someone who can sing and embodies the look and vibe of a singer, ideally between 18 and 20 years old. The source further mentioned that the film’s story will carry a vibe similar to the popular romantic musical ‘Aashiqui 2’.
