Rohit Shetty confirms standalone ‘Singham’ film for Deepika Padukone

Following the success of ‘Singham Again,’ Shetty has responded to fan demand by confirming that Padukone’s character, introduced as “Lady Singham,” will have her own film in his cop universe.

In a recent interview with News18, Shetty provided an update on the project, explaining that the film, tentatively called the “Shakti Shetty” project, is still in its early stages.

“We still have to write it,” Shetty explained. “We have a concept, but the full journey of the character isn’t clear yet. I know her personality and basic story arc, but there’s work to be done to flesh out her journey as a lead. But a female-led cop film with Lady Singham is definitely on the horizon; otherwise, we wouldn’t have introduced her in the first place. There’s a reason her character and name are emphasized in ‘Singham Again’.”
