Popular fashion got-to for many of the B-town favourites is Manish Malhotra whose designs have adorned films for decades. It seems that now the fashion designer is set to turn director for a film which is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
“The story and screenplay of this intense musical love story, set in the backdrop of the partition, is also written by Malhotra. He has already envisioned the entire screenplay ready in his mind and casting for the film will begin shortly,” said a source, as quoted by Hindustan Times.
Johar and Malhotra’s friendship goes back a long way and this does seem like a somewhat natural side step for the latter.
