Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Thalaivii’ to get a sequel?

Kangana Ranaut’s much awaited ‘Thalaivii’ (2021) a film based on the life of the late Indian actress-politician, J. Jayalalithaa, released in theatres yesterday (10th September). Only a day after hitting the box office there were rumours eluding to a sequel being made.

According to reports on Box Office Worldwide, a close source has shared that filmmakers feel there is much more to tell about the politician’s life that a sequel is likely, “Thalaivii sequel is definitely on cards. There is so much more to reveal about Jayalalithaa’s life. People are excited about the film and definitely, it will give the makers a reason to make a sequel.”

Directed by A. L. Vijay, ‘Thalaivii’ (2021) also stars Arvind Swami who essays the role of M. G. Ramachandran. The film has been released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
