Hotstar acquires direct premiere rights of Tara Sutaria’s ‘Apurva’

Murad Khetani’s next ‘Apurva’ starring Tara Sutaria has been acquired by Hotstar for a direct premiere, which means the film will a skip a theatrical release.

The film is helmed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat and co-produced by Star Studios.

Talking about the film, Sutaria said, “I couldn’t have asked for a better script and as a young woman, it makes me proud to be able to play ‘Apurva’. This is a story of a girl whose grit and inner strength are remarkable, and I’m thrilled to begin my journey in portraying a young woman whose intelligence, wit and courage are the reasons she survives against all odds.”

Reports say that the film has been sold to Hotstar for Rs. 28 crore. Khetani has been behind two blockbuster hits including ‘Kabir Singh’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’.
