Abhishek Bachchan discusses transformation for ‘I Want To Talk’ at music launch

The cast of the upcoming film ‘I Want To Talk’, starring Abhishek Bachchan, came together for its music launch, where Bachchan shared insights about his physical transformation for the role.

Standing beside a poster of his character, which depicts him with a pronounced belly, Bachchan reflected humorously, “I’m not in this shape anymore. But the experience has been incredibly eye-opening. It’s been life-changing, and I hope we’ve been able to make a difference to the time you spend watching the film in theatres or at home.”

Known for his versatility, Abhishek candidly discussed the challenges of gaining weight for the role, joking, “Take my advice—don’t put on weight for a film, especially at my age. It’s much harder to lose it!” Despite the physical challenges, he emphasised the importance of stepping outside his comfort zone andcollaborating with director Shoojit Sircar.

Reflecting on the creative process, he shared, “What I’m grateful to Shoojit Da for is the reminder to break free from routine. Many of us are caught up in the daily grind—whether it’s a corporate job, artistic pursuits, or something else. We often let life dictate how we move forward without questioning it. But sometimes, it’s worth saying, ‘Let’s try something new.”

The narrative explores themes of self-discovery and the choices that define how we live our lives.

The film’s ensemble cast includes Johnny Lever, Jayant Kriplani, newcomer Ahilya Bamroo, and Bachchan in a role that promises to engage audiences with its emotional depth and relatability. The trailer has already sparked curiosity with its mix of humor, introspection, and life-affirming moments.

Produced by Rising Sun Films and Kino Works, with international distribution by Rising Star Entertainment, ‘I Want To Talk’ is set to release worldwide on 22nd November.
