Know a little more about me…

1. How did you feel when you first started broadcasting on Lyca?

Very excited and hugely grateful! It’s a pleasure to join a fantastic team that’s shaking up the radio landscape and really going places. I’ve sat behind the mic countless times now, but every time I sit in that chair and push up the faders, there’s a kind of magic that fills the air. Radio addict for life!

2. Most memorable on-air moment so far?

In my old show I did, I accidentally confused the capital of Zambia [Lusaka] with the capital of Angola [Luanda]. Cue about 10-12 angry listeners messaging in to correct me, some of whom were listening in from Lusaka! Very funny, but I learned that day that the listeners really are listening in to your every word!

I can’t answer that! Let’s choose some iconic soundtracks instead, ‘Sholay’, ‘Disco Dancer’, ‘Kalank’ (shame the film was bad), ‘Delhi 6’.

Tabu / Nawazuddin Siddiqui / George Clooney / Margot Robbie

Stevie Wonder. My musical idol. Every song he’s done touches my heart.

10. What is your favourite film line?

‘Jo Darr Gaya, Samjho Mar gaya.’ Also, Rafiki in the Lion King, ‘The past can hurt, but the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it.” I want a tattoo of that!

11. What is your definition of "Happiness”?

Don’t be blue, just be YOU
