London’s key popular Asian radio stations, Lyca Radio and Lyca Gold have signed special deals with four popular food brands for their Ramadan 2022 content.
Popular rice brand, Tilda has come on-board as Channel Sponsor for Lyca Radio once again. However, this time, Tilda will also sponsor London’s newest station, Lyca Gold, further elevating its brand amongst two clear demographics – a younger audience on Lyca Radio and an older audience on Lyca Gold.
A spokesperson for Tilda said, “We’re very pleased to extend our long-standing relationship
with Lyca. As every year, Lyca Media has lined-up some very strong programming, which will resonate with our consumers. We wish all Lyca Radio and Lyca Gold listeners, a Ramadan Mubarak.”
Furthermore, Tariq Halal has renewed its annual deal as the exclusive sponsor of the two stations’ Ramadan programming for the eighth consecutive year. Tariq Halal as always will be the lead sponsor of Lyca Radio and Lyca Gold’s live Ramadan transmission at Sehri and Iftari. The two stations are broadcasting five Islamic prayers in total for the duration of Ramadan.
A spokesperson for Tariq Halal said, “It gives us immense pleasure to be tying up with Lyca Radio and Lyca Gold for the eighth year running. As always, the team at Lyca has pulled out all the stops to make Ramadan a special one this year. They will always have the support of
the Tariq Halal brand.”
Further boosting its partnership, Lyca Radio and Lyca Gold have also agreed exclusive deals with Shana Paratha. The savoury food brand will be sponsoring the stations a special Festive Hit of the Hour, along with Artist of the Week during the holy month.
A spokesperson from the Shana marketing team said, “This is the closest we’ve worked with Lyca Radio and Lyca Gold recently and it has been wonderful to work so closely with them during this festive season. They do a fantastic job in helping us to connect with their audience. We are excited to be extending our relationship this time around for the important holy month of Ramadan.”
Supermarket giant, Morrisons has also come on board as the sponsors of ‘Ramadan Thought of the Day’ and ‘Ramadan Clock Timings’.
Raj Baddhan, CEO of Lyca Media said, “It gives me great pleasure to work closely with some of the biggest food brands this Ramadan, which is the biggest we’ve had to date. An extra special thanks to Tariq Halal for coming back on board as our headline Ramadan sponsor for the eighth consecutive year.”
