Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan attend Durga Puja in matching outfitsWith Navratri celebrations taking over the country this past week, it's safe to say that India's annual festive season is officially here. And yesterday, October 8, 2019, Bollywood went all-out celebrating Dussehra in Mumbai. Among the many stars spotted out in the city yesterday was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who stepped out with daughter Aaradhya Bachchan and mother Brindya Rai to participate in a Durga puja. If you missed seeing their photos, we’ve got a sneak peek for you.
Known for their love for twinning, the mother-daughter duo celebrated Dussehra together in similar Indian ethnic ensembles. Over the years, we've seen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan match their looks everywhere from the Cannes Film Festival, where they were most recently seen in head-to-toe yellow, to the red carpet in Melbourne, where they once stepped out in coordinated Manish Malhotra outfits. This time around, however, the two gave understated white kurtas their nod of approval. While Aishwarya chose a chikankari version with ivory churidar pants, Aaradhya accompanied her to the pandal in an embroidered white kurta, which she paired with orange trousers and a matching leheriya dupatta.
During the puja, Aaradhya Bachchan spent her time listening attentively as her mother explained special moments and rituals to her and her grandmother offered prayers. The ceremony came to a close with the three generations seeking blessings, and Aishwarya giving Aaradhya a big kiss and a hug.
Along with the Bachchans, this Navratri saw quite a few Bollywood stars participate in the annual festivities this time. Over the week, we saw Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan step out for pujas, along with Kajol, Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, Karan Johar, Rani Mukerji and Ranbir Kapoor.
